After salivating for weeks and imagining how different the ride of the Loaded Fish will be from my Landyachtz Urban Assault… I finally got my hands on the Fish!

I went to Dasma after lunch to get the board, Khiro Big Bad Bushing Kit, and the Mckay 5-way skate tool from Paolo. I decided to get the bushing kit and tool just in case I wanted to do quick tune-ups in the future or something like that.

I’m still getting the hang of the height and the (slight) flex of the Fish; the Landy’s low and stiff. The Fish is waaay lighter than the Landy, the former being made of bamboo, among other things, and the latter, of maple. The comparison ends there, I guess, since they’re entirely different boards.
Anyway, I can’t wait to spend HOURS on this baby. HAHAHA!
My current setup:
  • Loaded Fish (Flex 2)
  • Randal R-II 125mm
  • Orangatang 4 President
  • Biltin Bearings

Fish and Landy

Thank you, once again, to Paolo of Longboards Manila!
Here’s a little something about the Fish:
According to Loaded Boards, Inc.,

Light, quick and agile. A maneuverable and pumpable board with strong surf roots. The flex of the board works synergistically with the Trackers. While intended as a soulful and aggressive commuter board, this puppy can hold its own on a hill if carved hard and is light enough to be carried back up or just about anywhere. Perfect for commuting around town, bank, pool riding, parking garages, and of course pedestrian slalom.
